Clean-cut and minimalist in appearance, the handle-free pur kitchen highlights the beauty of its natural materials. A key feature of this design is the carefully dimensioned recessed grip for top and bottom cabinets. This makes hinged doors, drawers and pull-outs very easy to handle and gives the kitchen a sleek, puristic look. The pur kitchen is particularly fascinating when the recessed grip runs all the way around a kitchen island or kitchenette. This makes the worktop appear almost weightless, floating above the element. In addition to the versions in a matt black and stainless steel finish, the recessed grip is available in alder, beech, oak and walnut. This creates scope for combining materials in intriguing ways or designing a kitchen that looks resplendent in solid wood all the way from the plinth to the top of the tallest cabinet. The slender elements in matt black aluminium of the versatile, modular sign niche system fit perfectly into the elegant kitchen design and offer practical, open storage space for even more cooking pleasure.
A recessed grip with a hands-on mentality.
The recessed grip, which can be used in all TEAM 7 fronts, offers an extremely flexible range of kitchen design options. On bottom cabinets, for example, grips can be positioned both at the top and in the middle or – in combination with pull-outs featuring a soft-touch opening or servo drive mechanism – at the top only. Individual aesthetic and functional preferences can be realised in this way. On tall cabinets, the recessed grip can be oriented vertically, extending up to 227.8 cm to cover the entire height of the cabinet. This enables particularly sophisticated and elegant styling with continuous fronts since no handles or horizontal joints are required. The hinged door can also be conveniently opened at any height using the recessed grip. No wonder people love cooking in this kitchen so much.

True to form for TEAM 7, the perfection lies in the many refinements. To avoid differences in height between the bottom cabinet and tall cabinets at the front joints, a special element system was developed that takes into account the design requirements for the recessed grip. The bottom cabinet is 3 cm taller so that no storage space is lost. The correspondingly lower plinth height ensures an ergonomic working level while lending the kitchen an inviting appearance. Various options for the side panels of kitchen islands or kitchenettes offer additional sophistication and extensive design freedom for an individual pur kitchen. The side panels are available in solid wood, coloured glass or ceramic, allowing for consistent use of a single material.

Our alder wood comes from sustainably managed forests in Hungary and Poland. It is characterised by a warm, red and golden colour that darkens slightly in the sunlight. Alder is a fast-growing medium-hard species of wood that is finely grained and is perfect for processing. And the best thing about it: its light colour variants and medullary rays make each piece of furniture made from alder unique.

Local sources are important to us. Our beech wood comes from sustainable European forests in Austria and Germany. The colour of the wood is aesthetically nuanced and varies between bright yellow and reddish brown. The colour darkens slightly when regularly exposed to sunlight. Beech wood is heavy and firm and its structure makes it particularly easy to process.

Our beech grows in the direct vicinity in sustainable forests in Austria and Germany. Its heartwood is hard and heavy and is characterised by a lively and distinctive wood look. Differences in colour, knots and small knotholes are typical. Natural coloured wood portions create a lively, distinctive grain pattern in the beech heartwood.

Whether it comes from sustainable forests in Austria, Hungary or Romania: the deciduous wood from our cherry trees is perfect for producing premium solid wood furniture. It is highly resilient, close-grained and always reveals different facets of its beauty. This is because ist colour spectrum ranges from a yellowish or reddish brown through to an intense dark red brown. The colour darkens slightly when exposed to sunlight.

Our oak grows just a stone’s throw away in sustainably managed forests in Austria, Germany and Hungary. A greyish-yellow to yellowish-brown heartwood is characteristic of this firm and particularly resilient wood. It grows in clearly visible even tree rings and darkens slightly in sunlight. Oak owes its unique appearance to its strikingly broad wood rays, which, depending on the direction of the wood, become visible as typical, large, iridescent mirrors or as dark strokes.

Our oak grows here in Austria, as well as in forests in Germany and Hungary. A greyish-yellow to yellowy-brown heartwood is characteristic of this firm and particularly resilient wood. It grows in clearly-visible, even tree rings. We have finished the premium wood of our oak white oil surface with a special oil that prevents the natural darkening of the oak and makes it brighter. Oak owes its unique appearance to its strikingly broad wood rays, which, depending on the direction of the wood, become visible as typical, large, iridescent mirrors or as dark strokes.

Austria, Slovenia and Hungary are home to our walnut trees. The noble living grained wood has hues that range from light brown to black brown and sometimes show a red or purple sheen. Regular sunlight lightens the wood’s colour. Walnut is hard and maintains its shape – it is almost impossible to wear out the extremely resilient wood.

We deliberately select wild walnut with natural characteristics. The wood is allowed to continue living with all its knotholes and original lively pattern in your home. This way the knots and cracks adapt naturally to the indoor climate and change over time. Regular sunlight lightens the colour. The character of the wood is distinctly more rustic than with traditional walnut. Wild walnut is hard, maintains its shape and is extremely resilient to wear and tear – this is why we use it for our fronts, table tops and beds.
